Forest Ground - Substance Designer - by Jonathan BENAINOUS

Here is my latest material study fully made with Substance Designer and rendered in Marmoset Toolbag 3.

The goal of this project was mainly to try out the brand new set of nodes from the latest 2018.2.0 Summer release of Substance Designer.

Combining old blending technics and the new Shape Splatter node, I tried to push further and improve my skills in layering organic elements within Designer.
Keeping in mind that having a natural flow was key to get a realistic result.

I found that a Forest Ground was a perfect subject to play around and layer a crazy amount of assets such as Pine needles, clovers, pebbles, Rocks, Branches, Lichen, Dead Leaves, Flowers, Puddles, etc...
